Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon After a smooth flight and a warm welcome at Lisbon Portela Airport, I couldn’t wait to start my adventure in this beautiful city. I checked into my charming hotel in the historic Alfama district, known for its winding streets and stunning views of the Tagus River. After settling in, I set out to explore the neighborhood, stopping at local cafes to savor traditional Portuguese pastries and coffee.
Day 2: Discovering Alfama and São Jorge Castle I started my day with a hearty breakfast of pastéis de nata before heading to São Jorge Castle, a historic fortress perched atop a hill overlooking the city. From the castle’s ramparts, I marveled at panoramic views of Lisbon’s red-tiled rooftops and the sparkling river below. After exploring the castle grounds, I wandered through the narrow alleys of Alfama, soaking in the atmosphere of this ancient neighborhood.
Day 3: Exploring Belém and the Monastery of Jerónimos On my third day in Lisbon, I ventured to the riverside district of Belém, home to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. I visited the Monastery of Jerónimos, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, and marveled at its intricate carvings and grand cloisters. Nearby, I indulged in a delicious pastel de nata at the famous Pastéis de Belém bakery before strolling along the riverfront promenade.
Day 4: Day Trip to Sintra No visit to Lisbon would be complete without a day trip to Sintra, a picturesque town nestled in the foothills of the Sintra Mountains. I explored the fairytale-like palaces and gardens of Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira, marveling at their whimsical architecture and lush surroundings. In the afternoon, I wandered through the charming streets of Sintra’s historic center, stopping to admire its colorful houses and quaint shops.
Day 5: Cultural Immersion in Lisbon For my final day in Lisbon, I immersed myself in the city’s vibrant cultural scene. I visited the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, home to an impressive collection of art spanning from ancient to modern times. In the evening, I attended a traditional fado performance, where soulful melodies filled the air and captured the essence of Portuguese music and culture.
As I bid farewell to Lisbon and boarded my flight home, I couldn’t help but reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories I had made during my summer adventure in this captivating city. From its historic landmarks to its lively neighborhoods and delicious cuisine, Lisbon had stolen my heart and left me longing to return again soon. A Journey Through Egypt’s Timeless Treasures

Day 1: Exploring the Pyramids of Giza in Cairo
My journey begins with a visit to the iconic Pyramids of Giza. As I stand before these ancient wonders, I’m in awe of their grandeur and history. I spend the day exploring the pyramids, learning about their construction and the mysteries that surround them. Climbing inside the Great Pyramid and taking a camel ride around the complex are unforgettable experiences.
Day 2: Journeying Southward to Luxor
Leaving Cairo behind, I head south to Luxor, known as the “world’s greatest open-air museum.” In Luxor, I visit the Karnak Temple Complex, marveling at its colossal columns and intricate hieroglyphics. The history and craftsmanship of this ancient site are truly impressive.
Day 3: Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Desert
Today, I went on an exciting hot air balloon ride over the huge desert. From up high, I saw the stunning beauty of the Egyptian desert as the sun rose, making the sands shine gold. It felt so peaceful and calm as the balloon floated gently through the air.
Day 4: Exploring the Temples of Luxor
Continuing my exploration of Luxor, I visit the Temple of Luxor, dedicated to the ancient Egyptian god Amun-Ra. Walking through the temple’s towering pylons and intricately decorated halls, I’m transported back in time to the glory days of ancient Egypt.
Day 5: Journey to Saint Catherine’s Monastery
Leaving Luxor behind, I journeyed to the Sinai Peninsula to explore Saint Catherine’s Monastery, which is one of the oldest Christian places in the world. It’s nestled close to Mount Sinai, which is really big and impressive.
Inside the monastery, I walked around the narrow passages and looked at the pretty chapels with their fancy decorations. The air smelled of old books and incense as I browsed through the ancient libraries filled with dusty scrolls and books. Outside, the gardens were calm and beautiful, with colorful flowers and big old trees providing shade from the hot sun. Being there felt really special, like stepping back in time and connecting with the people who lived there long ago.
Day 6: Climbing Mount Sinai at Sunrise
My adventure concludes with a pre-dawn trek up Mount Sinai to witness the sunrise from its summit. The climb is challenging but rewarding, and as the first light of dawn illuminates the surrounding mountains, I’m filled with a sense of wonder and awe. It’s the perfect finale to my unforgettable journey through Egypt.

Discover the serene beauty of Arashiyama in Kyoto, immerse yourself in the electric atmosphere of Tokyo, and marvel at the awe-inspiring majesty of Mount Fuji in Fujikawaguchiko.
Day 1: Exploring Kyoto’s Enchanting Arashiyama
My adventure started in Arashiyama, Kyoto, where the bamboo groves made everything feel magical. I spent the morning exploring this beautiful place and taking lots of pictures.
Then, I went to the historic Tenryu-ji Temple, which had stunning gardens and amazing mountain views. For dinner, I enjoyed a traditional Japanese kaiseki meal at a cozy restaurant, feeling thankful for the wonderful day.
Day 2: Tokyo – A City of Vibrancy
After saying goodbye to Kyoto, I hopped on the Shinkansen to Tokyo. In Asakusa, I visited the famous Senso-ji Temple and walked along Nakamise Shopping Street.
Later in the day, I walked around Shibuya, enjoying its lively vibe. I went up the Tokyo Skytree to see the city from above before having a tasty dinner at an izakaya.
Day 3: Journey to Mount Fuji in Fujikawaguchiko
I took a bus to Fujikawaguchiko and felt amazed when I saw Mount Fuji. In the afternoon, I walked around the Fuji Five Lakes area and enjoyed a slow walk by Lake Kawaguchi.
In the evening, I relaxed in a traditional inn called a ryokan. I soaked in a warm bath outside and then ate a delicious dinner called kaiseki.
Day 4: Exploring Mount Fuji and Surroundings
Today was all about exploring the breathtaking beauty of Mount Fuji and the places around it.
In the morning, I woke up early and set off to the 5th Station of Mount Fuji. It’s where climbers start their journey to the top. The views of the landscape were stunning, and I took my time to appreciate the grandeur of the mountain.
After coming down from the 5th Station, I visited the charming village of Oshino Hakkai. This place is famous for its crystal-clear ponds fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji. I walked around the cozy streets, admiring the traditional houses with thatched roofs and trying local treats like freshly-made mochi (rice cakes).
As the day came to an end, I went back to Fujikawaguchiko and relaxed in an outdoor bath overlooking Mount Fuji. It was so peaceful. I ended the day with a delicious dinner, savoring the flavors of the region and thinking back on all the adventures of the day.
Day 5: Farewell to Japan
As my unforgettable journey came to an end, I took one last moment to soak in the beauty and serenity of Mount Fuji before leaving for my next destination.
In the morning, I enjoyed a relaxed breakfast at my ryokan and cherished the final moments of my stay in Fujikawaguchiko. Taking a stroll through the town’s charming streets, I picked up some souvenirs to remember my time in Japan.
After saying goodbye to Mount Fuji, I headed back to Tokyo, where I caught my flight home or continued my adventures elsewhere in Japan. Reflecting on the memories I had made and the experiences I had shared during my unforgettable journey through Kyoto, Tokyo, and the majestic Mount Fuji, I said goodbye to Japan, knowing that I would carry a piece of its beauty with me wherever I went.
